10.jpgIt had already been announced, but the hour finally had arrived. Sr. Ann Mary finished her service in the General Curia of the C.M. Today the Superior General and all the members of the Curia said good-bye with a festive luncheon. Sr. Ann Mary was accompanied by her Sister Servant, Sr. Ana along with Sr. Vincenza, the other sisters of the secretariat, Sr. Mary, Sr. Marie Claire, Sr. Maria Pilar and the two lay secretaries, Maria and Alessandra.
After dessert, the Superior General with profound sentiments thanked Sr. Ann Mary for her 14 years of service in the General Secretariat. He mentioned thank Fr. Maloney had written to add his words of thanks. Afterwards other members of the Curia who had spent a longer period of time with Sr. Ann Mary were invited to express their gratitude. Each highlighted her professionalism, hard work and discretion regarding her knowledge of the life and work of the Congregation these past 14 years.
Sr. Ann Mary responded as usual with simplicity and decisiveness although her emotions, which touched us all , interrupted her voice as the tears trickled down her cheeks.
The superior of the house, Fr. Gouldrick finished by saying that we had all just lived one of the most emotional moments in the Curia where the sharing of the life and mission of the two communities was very much evidenced. Thank you Sr. Ann Mary
