In his article on discernment https://cmglobal.org/en/2018/09/05/vocation-discernment-in-vincentian-point-of-view/, Fr. Rolando Gutiérrez CM states that “Saint Vincent de Paul deserves to be called a proper master of discernment, both for his ability to interpret the signs of God” and for his ability to take “community and institutional decisions. “

In his article, Fr. Rolando refers to the method used in the Instrumentum Laboris (IL) of the Synod on Youth, faith and three phases of Vocation Discernment in accordance to Evangelii Gaudium 51: Recognize, Interpret and Choose to position the Culture of Vocation path undertaken as the Congregation. Encouraged by his words we continue to seek instruments, of that permanent discernment, as missionaries, necessary to live an intense and authentic faith.

There is discernment as Catholic Church and discernment as Congregation. Then, there is an individual discernment, daily and personal. We present  here a double interview with Fr, Daniel Ortega Galet CM of the Province of Indonesia and Fr Eliézer Okonoski CM of the Brazilian Province of Curitiba. Both are guests of the Leoniano (Rome) and willing to share with us their opinion on discernment in their life and their vocation!
