The annual Vincentian Youth Gathering was held in Surabaya, Indonesia  from August 3rd to September 2nd, 2018. Those who participated in the program came from various schools and parishes that are administered by members of different branches of the Vincentian Family.

During the gathering, the young men and women were invited to listen to the voice of God voice who is challenging them to participate actively in serving the poor and those who are live in the peripheral area of our country. God calls everyone to be healing agents.

On the last day of the program, the Assistant General of Congregation of the Mission, Fr. Mathew Kallammakal C.M., who was engaged in a canonical visitation of the province, was the main celebrant at the closing Eucharist. In his homily, he invited the young people th to take care of the church: Dear Vincentian youth, you do not only belong to the church of the future, but you are also the church of the present. So, I invite you to live the Christian faith as St. Vincent de Paul and Blessed Frederic Ozanam did. In that way you and the Church will be a light to the world. Fr. Ignatius Suparno C.M., who was in chargeof the program, urged the participants to live model lives as young Christians.
