November 16th, being a witness of the mission call of Our Lord, the Province of India-North of the Congregation of the Mission rejoices as the Superior General, Fr. Tomaž Mavrič, CM, officially announced that northeastern part of the Province was established a Region. It happened during the Eucharist celebrated in Pangmoul, Assam, on occasion of the Silver Jubilee of St. Vincent’s Parish and School there. Pangmoul is the first mission station of the India-North Province of the Congregation of the Mission started in 1994.

Msgr Dominic Lumon, Archbishop of Imphal, Msgr Aplinar Senapat, CM, Bishop of Rayagada, Odisha, Fr. Mathew Kallamackal, CM, Assistant General, Provincials of India’s North and South Provinces, Confreres, religious and numerous lay people attended the Eucharist. Archbishop Lumon was main celebrant and homilist. In the homily, he praised the Vincentians of the India-North Province for their works and dedicated commitments to meet pastoral needs. He also applauded the Vincentians that they have made education on of the their priorities to empower the students. The Eucharist was followed by unveiling of the jubilee memorial stone. Next, the artistic performance was presented to Fr. Mavrič and other guests.
