The Vincentian Marian Youth (VMY) is a worldwide association directed by our Superior General. Yasmine Cajuste serves as VMY International President. Yasmine shares reflections on her experience of the VMY in our March 2015 Bulletin.
Including contributions pledged for the end of 2014, the Vincentian Endowment Challenge has reached the $4 million USD mark! Counting the matching funds from the private foundation that offered our Congregation the challenge grant, this means we have now raised $8 million for the Patrimony Fund Project. This is good news, but we still need to raise $1 million more to meet our goal of $10 million (counting the foundation’s matching contributions). We can make our goal–but only with your help! Please reach out to family, friends and associates, and ask them to support us.
One way to do this, is to share the latest VSO Bulletin, which discusses the challenges of our Nigerian Province–a beneficiary of the Patrimony Fund Project (see below). And please keep our efforts in your prayers this Advent, as we prepare the way of the Lord!
In our latest bulletin, you can learn about our Province in Slovakia, which is a beneficiary of the Vincentian Endowment Challenge (Patrimony Fund Project), and its mission to the Garifuna people in Honduras. There’s also a story about our chapel in Lebanon which reaches out to both Christians and Muslims, and one of our schools in Ethiopia:
