John Rybolt, CM writes., “We are happy to announce the St. Vincent de Paul Image Archive, hosted by DePaul University. It is at: http://stvincentimages.cdm.depaul.edu/. Its purpose is to make available the largest possible collection of Vincentian images.”
For the moment, the Image Archive has about 9500 images only of St. Vincent de Paul, but St. Louise de Marillac will also be added as well as other saints, blesseds and members of the Congregation of the Mission and, where appropriate, the Daughters of Charity. Later, a large gallery of Vincentian sites will also be added. We are grateful for images already submitted.
The sources of these images are photographs, as well as other scanned images from original works as well as printed materials. Some have been downloaded from the internet. All the images are free for individual use. Since some of the items may be copyrighted (as noted in the descriptions of the images), these images are not to be used for commercial purposes.
The director of the site will willingly accept new images, but reserves the right to edited them. He will also gladly accept better versions of the same images, or corrections and suggestions concerning any images, particularly where the location of the originals is unknown. If you have a large quantity of images, these can be sent by mail on a CD or DVD. Contact the director for information.
