We have been informed that the Holy Father has appointed Theodorus van Ruijven, C.M., as Vicar Apostotlic of Nekemte, in Ethiopia, assigning him the Titular Diocese of Utimma.
Father Theo was born in Ryswyk, Rotterdam, Netherlands, May 22 1938. He entered the Congregation of the Mission September 2, 1957 and was ordained priest March 19, 1964.
Since 1965 he has been living and serving in Ethiopia. He currently is the Prefect Apostolic of Jimma-Bonga.
We congratulate the new Vicar Apostolic and assure him of our prayers in his new assignment.
