Internal Seminary – Province of Colombia
Diego Zuñiga, CM
Director of the Internal Seminary
On January 24th the Province of Colombia initiated the stage of formation that is referred to as the Internal Seminary. The place for this formation is the “Villa Paul” located in the municipality of Funza, Cundinamarca (the major seminary is located in the same place). Even though the theologians and the seminarists share the same building, there are activities that are specific to the young men in the internal seminary (activities that are outlined in the Ratio Formationis, the Provincial Plan and the Community Plan which was developed by the formators and the young men in formation at each stage for formation).
On January 25th, ten young men, from different parts of the country and after having completed the previous stage of their formation, were admitted into the Congregation. Previously these men had requested admittance into the “Little Company”, thus responding to God’s call to serve those men and women who are most poor.
At the present time the seminarists, together with some formators from the different Provinces of Central and South America (members of CLAPVI), as well as the theologians, are participating in the V Encounter of Formators (CLAPVI). This formation session began on February 1st and will continue until February 13th, 2016. In this environment of reflection and internalization of the Ratio Formationis, in this environment of sharing different experiences in the area of formation, we began a new year of personal and community growth.
