Thank you,Fathers Freund and Davitt for the presentation of Ghebre-Michael and St. Justin de Jacobis,CM. Only by God’s providential intervention could these Christ-like men come together. Indeed, by “grace alone”,these Godly men effected the humanly impossible. As I read this article, it became obvious how Christ walks closely alongside those who suffer for the sake of God’s truth and for His salvific love. Therefore, both Saint Justin and Ghebre-Michael edify us so we know the meaning of living fearless lives even in the face of torture and death. During our own times, many of us knew Bishop O’Shea,CM,your Confrere and servant-leader of our Lord, who suffered at the hands of cruel Chinese Communists.. Like Ghebre-Michael and St. Justin de Jacobis,Bishop O’Shea loved Christ, truth, and God’s people. When the pessimists of our times present their falsehoods of “doom and gloom”,let’s remember these saints of God who seemed to see His face even in the Church Militant. Again, thank you for this article,an uplifting way to start Labor Day,2016.
