The Congregation of the Mission in general and the Vice-Province of Cameroon in particular are preparing to welcome into the priestly ministry following Christ the evangelizer of the poor in the manner of St. Vincent, 6 new priests, all of Cameroonian nationality. The deacons Gervais Levis KAMWA KOUAM, cm, Beaugéro SAPI TAFOFOU, cm, Adalbert Christian OLOMO ALOA, cm, Gael Fabien MPECK MPECK, cm, Christian Willibrod NNOMO, cm and Jean-Marc EBODE ONANA, cm studied theology in Cameroon at the Ecole Théologique Saint Cyprien de Ngoya and in Nigeria at Bigard Memorial Seminary Enugu. They will all be ordained priests of Jesus Christ on Saturday september 5, 2020 in the Mary Queen of the Apostles Basilica of Mvolye in Yaoundé, Cameroon at 10 am. This ordination will be marked with the seal of the celebration of the jubilee year of the 40 years of presence of the Congregation of the Mission in Cameroon. The opening of this jubilee year took place on February 1, 2020 in the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, Bishop Julio MURAT. The ordination mass of our confreres will be presided over by Bishop Marcelin-Marie NDABNYEMB, Bishop of Batouri diocese’s. Let us pray for these future apostolic workers that the spirit that guided Saint Vincent de Paul may support and assist them throughout this ordination and in their future ministry. May the Virgin Mary, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, intercede for these sons of Saint Vincent de Paul so that they may always be ready to love, serve and imitate Christ in the service of our lords and masters the poor.
