The month of February 2023 was marked by several events in the Congo Province:

The laying of the tombstone of Reverend Father Jean-Pierre MANGULU Mobonda, followed by the blessing at the Lazarist Fathers’ cemetery in Bikoro;

On Friday 24 February, under the leadership of Reverend Father Visitor, Justin EMENE Nzengi, the tombstone of the late Father Jean Pierre MANGULU Mobonda was laid. Jean-Pierre died on 04 January 2022 in Bikoro. He was buried at the Lazarite cemetery in Bikoro on 11 January 2022, after the funeral mass presided over by His Excellency Mgr Ernest NGBOKO, Metropolitan Archbishop of Mbandaka-Bikoro and concelebrated by several Lazarists and some Abbots of the archdiocese. This tombstone was blessed by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Mbandaka-Bikoro, Mgr Ernest NGBOKO on Saturday 25 February 2023.

Inauguration and blessing of the Saint Vincent de Paul House in Bikoro;

Saturday 25 February 2023 was also marked by the inauguration and blessing of the Saint Vincent de Paul House, Private Residence of the Lazarist Fathers in the apostolic region of Bikoro. As a reminder, the construction work started under the direction of Reverend Father Visitor Justin EMENE. For the time being, this house houses the formation house with Lazarite Aspirants, with the construction of the formation house on the Ekata site. This ceremony was done during the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Mgr Ernest NGBOKO, Metropolitan Archbishop of Mbandaka-Bikoro, in the presence of the Daughters of Charity, the Lazarist Confreres and the Abbots, without forgetting the Christian faithful of the parish of Saint Vincent de Paul of Bikoro.

During the said mass, Bishop Ernest NGBOKO proceeded to the blessing and the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the Internal Seminary “Source of Life” in Bikoro, on the same Ekata site, 21 Hectares in size.

After these ceremonies, the Reverend Father Visitor visited the parish community of St. Joseph’s in Itipo, where he spoke with confreres and Daughters of Charity.
