Funeral of Father Jorge Luis Rodríguez Baquero, CM
Dear Brothers,
With hearts full of sorrow yet steadfast in faith, we are preparing to share the details of the funeral rites for our beloved Father Jorge Luis Rodriguez Baquero. Father Jorge served our community with devotion and unconditional love, and now we join together to honor his memory and celebrate his life dedicated to the service of God and His children.
Below you will find the schedule of the celebrations that will take place in the coming days. We invite you to join us in large numbers to pay tribute to our dear Father Jorge, in prayer and fraternal communion.
Monday, January 15: A day dedicated to continuous prayer. We will begin with the Rosary at dawn and conclude with the evening recitation of the Rosary and Lode.
Tuesday, January 16: We will celebrate three masses throughout the day and will accompany Father Jorge from the mortuary to our Mission of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Lombe.
Wednesday, January 17: The funeral Mass will be held in the presence of the body, followed by the funeral procession to the Municipal Cemetery of Malanje – Cafuma.
Saturday, January 20: We will conclude our rites with the Mass of the seventh day, a final opportunity to offer our prayers for the eternal rest of Father Jorge.
We invite every member of the Congregation of the Mission to join in these moments of prayer and commemoration, as an expression of our fraternal bond and mutual support on the path of faith.

We are also praying in California at our house of Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles, according to our own schedule. Saints of God, come to his aid. Come to meet him angels of the Lord!
It was painful to come to know about the tragic demise of this priest. May his being dwell in the hearts of innumerable human beings. That’s the reward God has for him. But how? Was it a technical missing or a human fault…?
