In this picture you can see the signature of St. Vincent de Paul who gave formal birth to the Congregation of the Mission!
Today, in the Congregation of the Mission, we celebrate 399 years of uninterrupted commitment and unconditional love for our neighbour, especially for those most in need.
St. Vincent de Paul’s signature on the deed of foundation is more than just ink on paper; it is the beginning of a mission that continues to resonate in the hearts of the members of our community, who are called to embody the spirit of Christ and work towards the perfection of their vocation.
In this jubilee year, as we look back with gratitude, we also look forward with renewed zeal. We commit ourselves to forming men and women who are not only faith-led but also active evangelisers in today’s world, bringing hope and help to those living in poverty and neglect.
Through our daily work and commitment to the service of the poor, we keep the charism of St. Vincent alive and respond courageously to the challenges of our time.
And let us pray that God will bless us with new vocations, ardent souls eager to continue this noble mission of love and service, particularly towards those living on the margins of society.
