The Vincentians are bringing their friends to the table for a conversation about life.
The Congregation of the Mission initiated the project “Round Table – Mission Live” on March 10. It is a space for reflection which the Vincentian Fathers intend to offer to the Church and to Portuguese society.
It was named “Round Table” because it collects the collaborators’ reflections who, voluntarily, contribute to enrich the dialogue between the Church and the society.
Mission “Live”, because it is no longer possible to separate the person who is or is not present on the Internet. However, being aware of the digital age and the information society in which we live, we have recognized the urgency of caring for the person in his or her unity and integrity, beginning with the experience of the Church, a traveling companion who knows how to listen to what everyone has to say at this time.
Finally, we have brought together new points of view from different geographic areas, with a strong young and feminine impression that, starting from different life experiences, various professions and different backgrounds, are strengthening the connection to the Vincentian spirit every Wednesday on www.padresvicentinos.net website. We would like to point out the collaboration with the Caring for our Common Home Network and the opportunity to sit at the same table with people and institutions working to promote ecological conversion, based on the ‘Laudato Si’ Encyclical.
Faithful to their formation charism, the Vincentians seek to be attentive to the signs of this new era we live in, but also to contribute to the renewal of the Church and the transformation of the world.
