One year ago, on June 28th, 2018, one of the most significant events for the Vincentian Family took place in Brussels. At the invitation of Antonio Tajani (President of the European Parliament), the International Office of the Vincentian Family was provided with an opportunity to speak about its charism and mission in the world.
Alojz Peterle (a member of the European Parliament) welcome all those present; Father Tomaž Mavrič, CM (Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission and international spokesperson for the Vincentian Family) gave a brief presentation. Also present were: Father Pedro Opeka, CM (a missionary in Madagascar and a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize), Sister Carol Keehan, DC (President and administrator of the Catholic Health Association in the United States), Father Matteo Tagliaferri (a member of the Congregation of the Mission and president of Community in Dialogue [Italy]). Mr. Mark McGreevy (President of DePaul International) presented the project of the Vincentian Family with regard to homeless people throughout the world.
During this event there was a photo display of the various works of the worldwide Vincentian Family. We present here some photographs to remind all of us of some of the important moments of that very special event. The homeless project continues to move forward and very soon, through means of the various social networks, we will be providing you with more information about some of the further developments of this plan.
