Dear Friends of the Vincentian Family:
I am currently making a visit to our Chad Mission, where five confreres of various nationalities are bringing the Good News to the poor of this beautiful country, which has so many needs.
The Nativity Scene of Bethlehem is an Ode to Providence that Saint Vincent de Paul sang in the depths of its profundity.
God becomes man.
Saint Vincent cultivated a deep devotion to the mystery of the Incarnation, because there, in that humble manger that we remember each Christmas, Divine Providence showed the world the perfect face of love.
The Savior is born in Bethlehem, the helpless child in the care of the Blessed Virgin and Saint Joseph.
The mystery of the Incarnation and Divine Providence set us in motion, make us pilgrims of the Gospel, and invite us to take a leading place in a world so full of needs. We Vincentians have been called there.
My deepest wishes of inner joy for each Missionary of the Little Company, each Daughter of Charity, each member of the other Congregations belonging to the Vincentian Family, each layperson of the Vincentian Family in this time of immense grace.
Let us together continue facilitating Jesus’s birth in people’s hearts to the ends of the earth!
Let us pray for one another!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2020!
